Greetings to all,

Firstly, I think it's a very good idea to use a blog for the purpose of keeping us up-to-date and informed about the latest happenings and stuff. In fact, I think we should do one for our church. It's a good way to keep our members as well as the alumni updated on the recent events in our church =)

Secondly, I've posted the past 2 years' Welcoming Activities' logos below. Just thought of posting them up for all to see/keep/modify/admire/etc/=p

IVCC Welcoming 2006 - Eureka!
IVCC Welcoming 2007 - U-Turn

Finally, I would like to wish all IVCC members 'all the best' in your exams. May God bless you always!

Regards,
Jia Yaik

Pray continuously.....

Hello everybody, finally logged into this blog.....Happy to see this blog being created....tat means I can save my sms money....haha...nola.....I will still sms prayer items but then mostly will use this blog....

Well, I would like to remind everyone to pray using the prayer booklet. A lot of effort was being put into making the booklet, especially sis Siew En....n the most important reason the booklet was being made is to guide all of us to pray continuously for the welcoming activity and also pray for all bro n sis n ourselves durin the three months long holidays. So plz dun throw the booklet aside or use it to "bai sui" wo....

Oh ya, forget to mention last time tat the prayer booklet can be used repeatedly. So it does not mean that u can stop praying usin the prayer booklet after 35 days o...u can still used it again n again.

For this week, plz pray for all of us who are sitting for our exams, pray that God will grant us wisdom, open up our mind and help us to remember what we had studied so that we can be able to do well in the exams and glorify God's name. Also pray that we will still continue to focus on God during the exam week.

Ganbatte everyone in ur exams!!!^_^

Remember the power of prayers and plz persevere in praying......

And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22

Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:19-20

Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17

5 Reasons Why God Uses Problems

5 Reasons Why God Uses Problems

The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you, depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to u problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems, rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring. Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Proverbs 20:30

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot ever water! Has God tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience."James 1:2-3

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child, your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something... health, money, a relationship ... by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws." Psalm 119:71-72

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem, but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered. "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good..." Genesis 50:20

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship with God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems...they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us, and helps us trust God more each time we use it, until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." Romans 5:3-4

So bro n sister, don’t worry and dun be afraid on what are u facing, come to the Lord and have full faith in Him. He is the almighty God our abba father, nothing is impossible in Him. Be strong and grow in Him ya. God Bless
